The stonehouse

Roof Repair

We wouldn’t have to do a post about this; but we have records to keep. I’m pretty sure I have pictures somewhere of when we did this twenty years ago.

The troublesome valley above the porch proved to be true to form. The roofers were frustrated and the non-roofers helping were, too. It’s just another one of those odd, impossible, old-house things we live with around here.

You know this, but I just have to say it again, we love this funny old house. As we were lunching yesterday with the guys who came to rescue us from the bad old roof, they got to talking about the rocks. “Why three different kinds of rocks and layering patterns?”

“We haven’t had to do anything with the siding since we bought it.” This from Elv.

So it’s done. It’s good.
