Celebrations, Faith, Old Things, Scribblings

Take Away of Last Week

I know nothing about politics. So when I make observations from my own little corner of the world, don’t try to pin me to any particular stance or party. Mostly, I am still impressionable and hopeful. And I like happy endings to great stories.

I’m referring To Jimmy Carter’s funeral last week. I really enjoyed the pictures of the funeral. Especially nice were the pictures of the five living Presidents and their wives. (Yes, I missed Michelle Obama.)  Anyway, these people are in their eighties and they each have a story. It seems to me that it is going to be hard to have a better one than Carter’s. Oh, yes, no opinions.

The best part of the funeral was Carter’s grandson’s eulogy. Which led me to go looking for the Carter Centers story. I’m inspired. I again see how a lot of people do their best work after they are sixty. Let me in on this. Have a good week.
