Saturday Evening

It’s really quiet, except for my music. Elv is sleeping in his chair. I borrowed a popcorn popper from Francis. I keep borrowing things because it’s hard to remember what I would have needed in the travel trailer.

We’re parked in the woods of tall pine trees. The sun shines through in yellow patches. This evening feels a little forlorn because Elv’s back gave out. He’s mostly having to recline and wait it out. Otherwise known as crashing. As a solace we enjoy the woods scenery outside every window.

This week flew by. We kept cramming to get the Mountaineer finished so that we could move in. It’s a sweet little home for us.

Today I stained 2×4’s for Brad, who is building a privacy fence. Mom and Dad brought us cones in cups for fun.

I told Mom afterward, “This is how life is supposed to be.” Mom and Dad stopping by while we are doing fun projects, is the way to do things while we can.
