Mountaineer Days

It’s camper living for sure but nicely familiar and happy, too. Our favorite chores of firewood and laundry and off grid living are our version of the popular ideal of quiet living.

Francis found raw milk for us. We visited the neatest little farm stand today to pick it up. This particular half gallon is Jersey milk and you can see the cream line is almost at half. Plus, it’s A2A2 milk, which is the best.

Elv and Mike worked up a dead tree into short firewood for our minuscule stove that heats the Mountaineer.

We take every possible opportunity to run over to Mom and Dad’s. Today when I ran in to do laundry Mom was visiting with a friend who is 90 years old.

I walk with Mom every chance I get. She put in 2 1/2 miles yesterday. She’s still going strong. My next twenty years look promising as long as I can live like mom does, cheerfully purposefu.
