The wind just picked up. Something rattled against the house outside, and the stove fire is breathing with the wind. I’ll need to shut the damper off soon. The smoke is whipping past the window headed west.
That was yesterday and all we got out of the windy drama was sloppy snow and rain. Mostly rain. Winter is wearing out early, maybe?
I have not been faithfully posting my scribblings. You’ll have to trust me when I say that I have been writing every day, but to get it to here…not so much. So have I failed the challenge?
I’ll take that particular failure in exchange for a couple of nice little triumphs. We got the taxes all done. Which means that I sat down to my lap top in the living room and entered a few numbers and information on Tax Slayer. It took two evenings and a visit to the bank in between to gather up two missing numbers and a code, but DONE.
Another accomplishment is to have spent another day fluffing at the store. Now the kid’s corner makes sense again and there’s room for a bit of new stock as well. Come in for books or a new teddy bear. We have just want you need.
