Having said all that yesterday about traditions transitioning … and not to unsay it … some things should never change.
There should always be the anticipation of Jesus’ second coming along with the celebration of His first. That is the whole point, right?
There should always be the joy in our hearts and with each other that He did come to save us and that we have this world wide celebration of world wide importance. Nobody is exempt from the need of a Savior and hopefully each Christmas we get a renewed excitement to share the glad tidings of great joy to all people.
There should always be Christmas carols sang and rang and shared throughout our neighborhoods and malls and concert halls and churches. Repeat the sounding joy.
There should always be gift sharing and one-another-ing because the greatest gift ever was given by God to all of us.
