Christmas Trees and Snow

We have a Christmas tree this year. You all helped us with that. I’ve always been enamored with Christmas trees and lights because they “strike joy” during our long darkness. But we were raised to consider Christmas trees, especially, somewhat superfluous and maybe even “worldly”. This year when the new cards began to arrive I took down last year’s swags of cards deciding to start fresh with a new idea in a new location. Thanks to everyone who gave us new cards this year.

I grabbed a picture of Abbey’s pretty little snow covered tree, too. And speaking of snow covered trees… Last week’s snow has turned every tree out there into a snow covered tree just in time for Christmas. These are the best kind.

Have a happy Christmas week, my friends.
