This week makes more sense to me. Work and projects are up and running again. And the Gladys Rose is outperforming herself. Angelie and I gathered a lot of the blooms and made rose water again. That must have signaled her to burst forth with enough for big vases.

I looked up this rose after being asked why I call it the Gladys Rose. I’m fairly confident that it is a damask rose. Does this help anyone? Apparently it’s an old fashioned rose that’s the best for oils and rose water, or even tea. It does smell amazing. Thorny but useful.
Here’s my bit of hard earned wisdom for the day. When you wake at night in the wee hours with heavy burdens and sweat. Remind yourself that this is not the time to be solving anything. Not at night when all is dark and gloomy. Instead do what He says and cast all your care upon Him, because He cares for you. What you were thinking was “off” anyhow. Go back to sleep. I promise, you’ll be smarter in the morning.
And when those you love best are all on different pages, seemingly, here’s another verse that helps. Most of all love one another, because love covers a multitude of sins.
So that’s how this week makes more sense. Roses and daylight solutions and love. Thank you, Jesus.
